If you suffer from leg ulcers or cold feet, you may be referred by your GP or nurse for a Doppler test. This test is conducted by our HCAs and involves measuring the blood pressure in your arms and legs using a special Doppler machine. The results can indicate the presence of peripheral vascular disease, which would require a referral to a specialist.
Because the Doppler test involves attaching a blood pressure cuff to your arms and ankles, we recommend wearing loose clothing to the appointment.
